I agree with the article, but disagree rather a lot with the quote you selected.

I suppose so. I just don’t think that we’re all that stupid. Frankly, I think we’re pretty amazing as a race, male and female.
I would agree that perhaps you, me, and all of the male readers of this blog aren’t stupid, but we’re a pretty small subset of the average American male, especially those who read espn.com on a regular basis. Given my own life as an example, I know I’ve got a large propensity to do stupid things.
